SIX people have been in court for speeding offences in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The offences were committed either by people living in the Vale or committed in the Vale itself.

Owen Maredudd Roberts, 60, of Ninian Road, Cardiff, was fined £100 for speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 1. He pleaded guilty to the offence on Tuesday, December 21.

It related to an offence on Saturday, July 3, where he was caught doing 39mph on the B4267 Lavernock Road, where the limit is 30mph. Alongside the £100 fine, he was also given three points on his licence and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.

Holly Elizabeth Graham, 35, of Ffordd Pentre, Barry, pleaded guilty to speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday, February 7.

It related to an offence on Sunday, August 1, where she was caught doing 43mph on Cardiff Road in Dinas Powys, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £134 and given four points on her licence. She also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Hamid Sharoki, 42, of Broad Street, Barry, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 1.

It related to an offence on Sunday, July 25, where he was caught doing 35mph on the  westbound carriageway of Cowbridge Road West, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Joanna Tadicicco, 45, of Ravenshoe Road, Barry, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday, February 7.

It related to an offence on Friday, July 30, where she was caught doing 39mph on the B4267 Lavernock Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Luke O’Dare, 38, of Castle Avenue, Penarth, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday, February 7.

It related to an offence on Tuesday, August 3, where he was caught doing 35mph on Greenway Road, Rumney, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also has to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

David Alun Manfield, 46, of Gabalfa Avenue, Cardiff, pleaded guilty to speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 2.

It related to an offence on Thursday, June 17, where he was caught doing 24mph on Fontegary Road, Barry, outside Rhws Primary School, where the limit is 20mph. He was fined £100 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
