Brian Wilson, aged 11, of Salisbury Road, Barry a non swimmer, dived to rescue his sister, Margaret, aged three, when she fell in Watchtower Bay, Barry. Paul Reginald Newcombe, aged 15, of Daniel Street, Cadoxton, saved a 15-year-old boy who hit a rock when he dived into the water at Bendrick's Beach, Sully.
