FOUR people from Barry have appeared in court recently on speeding charges.

Cerys Sian Hopkins, 36, of Victoria Park Road, Barry was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 31.

It related to an offence on July 8 where she was caught doing 25mph on the 20mph Victoria Park Road outside Cadoxton Primary School. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Hamid Sharoki, 42 of Broad Street, Barry was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on February 1.

It related to an offence on July 27 where he was caught doing 35mph on the 30mph Cowbridge Road West. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Declan William Govier, 31 of Falcon Road, Barry appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to speeding. His plea was entered on January 10 and he was given his sentence on January 25.

Damian Paul Campbell, 38 of Ffordd Ellin, Barry pleaded guilty to speeding at Bath Magistrates Court on January 26.

It related to an offence on April 4 where he was caught doing 89mph on the 70mph M4 J20 to J19 eastbound. He was fined £100.
