RISING Dragons Tae Kwon Do, based in Barry, held their annual awards ceremony and Christmas party at the Market Street Club in December.
The event was a chance to celebrate all the successes the club and its students have achieved in 2016.
The evening started with chief instructor, Jamie Halford, congratulating all students on an exemplary year of hard work, excellent club representation and positive attitude, stating that 2017 was going to be the year of the Dragons.
Bouquets of flowers were then presented to Joanne Halford and Melanie Bennett for all their hard work and support with the day-to-day running of the club.
The first award of the night was presented to Katie Blackley, the person who had kept all the instructors and parents going by making teas and coffee sometimes more than once a session.
The instructors then went on to present the following awards:
Best Beginner - Oakley Allen
Most Improved - Harley Jacobsen and Thea Cunningham
Most Attendance - Cameron Evans
Most Potential - Jessica Blackley and Riley Rees
Fighter of the Year - Cody Jacobsen
Charles Ames Award - Mason Blackley
Micheal Conniber Award - Charlie Rodgers
