Barry Town United earned a tough 1-0 win at third-placed Aberbargoed Buds last weekend, on a Saturday afternoon overshadowed by the tragic events of the previous evening.

A minute's silence held ahead of kick-off preceded a goalless first half; before Barry's top goal scorer TJ Nagi popped up to score the winner after the break.

The victory carried the Town within touching distance of a second successive promotion, ahead of this weekend's return home to Jenner Park Stadium.

Saturday's match against visitors Undy Athletic with kick-off at 2.30pm will conclude 2015's Fairtrade Fortnight, in association with the Barry Town Council.

A special Fairtrade football will be used on the day, with the Town Under-12s also taking on Cadoxton Imps in a half-time exhibition match.

Admission is £5 for adults, £4 for students/senior citizens and £3 for unaccompanied children, with accompanied children welcomed free of charge and the regular discounts available for club members.

Undy's sole previous visit to Jenner Park resulted in a 4-3 thriller back in October 2013, with the Gwent side currently sitting ninth in Welsh League Division Two.

At press time, league leaders Barry have seven matches of the campaign remaining, including further home games on March 24 and 28 and April 14.

As matters stand, the final match of the season will see the Town entertain Llanwern at Jenner Park on Saturday, April 25.
