BARRY Saints produced an impressive team performance to beat Cardiff Northern emphatically by 15 goals to one.

Debutant Andrew Townsend got the first, superbly finding the top corner from the edge of the box leaving the keeper stranded. Darren Townsend grabbed his first with a low finish into the bottom corner after great work by Nathan Williams.

Darren Townsend grabbed another after smashing the ball home from close range. Nathan Williams then grabbed a goal when he was picked out after a powerful run he blasted the ball home.

Joe Matthews clinched a goal after drifting in from the left wing and converting his chance easily. Darren Townsend added another with a tap in for his hattrick.

Andrew Townsend added his second, dancing around four Northern players and hitting a thunderbolt of a shot leaving the keeper with no chance. Ashley Ashill bagged two from the right wing after leaving his marker for dead both times.

Michael Evans was brought on and instantly got in on the action hitting an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box which struck the underside of the bar before crossing the line.

Evans grabbed a second with a low long range effort finding the bottom corner. Darren Townsend grabbed another with a header lobbing the keeper Michael Evans completed his hattrick from the penalty spot after he was fouled.

Darren Townsend wrapped up the game to secure his double hattrick with a delicate touch volleying home after a superb cross by Evans.
