OCI A 0

AFC WENVOE 2

THIS WAS not a good day for OCI in a game that saw their bogey team AFC Wenvoe gain the upper hand in the league as both teams fight for places higher in the division.

Sloppy play led to Wenvoe's first goal which had a hint of offside but they still took their chance and went ahead.

It was supposedly the time for OCI to push forward but they seemed to just argue between themselves and try and throw the blame at each other instead of trying to get back in to the game. Wenvoe capitalised on this and a high ball over the top caused trouble in the OCI defence, and Clemo was beaten at his near post.

Half time came as OCI received a dressing down from their manager and it did seem to pep them up a bit and they went at Wenvoe with a bit more zest in their game.

The introduction of Fergie for tireless and hard working midfielder Nick Good gave OCI a lift and they kept up the pressure but the strikers were not having a great day and what chances they got were unfortunately not either dropping correctly or being hit wide or over the bar.

Joe was introduced for Gwyn but still OCI struggled to get a goal.

Not a good day at the office but OCI know they can produce better and come next week when they play top of the league Cadoxton Imps, they will have to be at their best.

Well done to Wenvoe and good luck for the rest of the season and thanks to referee Andy Cottle.

OCI: Clemo, Chris, Tony, Starzy, Nelly, Nick, Marc, Nathan, Gwyn Jnr, Adam, Jamie, Fergie, Joe.
