There will be ten members of Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club taking part in Bridgend Lions Swimming Club's Swimathon in April.

They currently have sponsor forms and are asking people to sponsor them as some of the money they'll raise will go to the swimming club and some will be passed to Bridgend Lions for registration in taking part.

The members taking part will be: Chris E, Jack Kemp, Oliver Griffiths, Kiera D, Kiera R, Aidan T, Callum Savory, Leah Marcus, Abby Finch and Ffion Jones. The event will happen on 22nd April and it'll be much appreciated by them for those who are sponsoring.

Also, Nicholas Cushen is participating in this year’s Marie Curie Swimathon at Barry Leisure Centre on 29th April.

He will be doing a shorter distance this year as he will be taking part in another event at Cardiff for BBC Children in Need.

He has a JustGiving page on justgiving.com to sponsor him.

The second event is The Gung-Ho 5km challenge which is happening on the 5th May at Bute Park Cardiff.

He said: “It would also be great for people to come for support on the day as I'm participating in this event which I will be taking part in at 12 noon. I also have a JustGiving page on justgiving.com to sponsor me.”
