BARRY Town United Under-14s have been overwhelmed by the support of their sponsors ahead of the new season.

Team manager John Harding, along with coached Leighton Yeoman, Jonathan Hawkins and Rhys Lloyd would like to thank the sponsors which have provided new home and away kits and equipment along with training facilities and more.

Mark Barrett of RIM Motors has been a sponsor of the club for a number of years and continues to show his support. James Hill of Amser Electrical and Ceri Humphrys of Electro Heat have also helped the team with sponsorship.

The club would also like to thank coach Jonathan Hawkins for providing all the match balls for the season out of his own pocket.

On the pitch the boys have had an impressive season. The side have won the Vale Under-13 League and finished the season with a cup victory over Island Marine coming out as double champions during the season.

Last season the young side travelled to a number of academy sites including Newport County, Hereford United, an Arsenal development side and they also welcomed Irish team New Ross Town to Jenner Park where the coaches and players learnt a lot.

The boys have recently returned from the Welsh International Super Cup where they played up a year in a four day competition with teams from all over the country competing in a tough test.

Everybody at the club wish the team and coaches all the best for the new season.
