SULLY Sports RFC suffered a double cancellation last week with both the first and second teams having their games called off.
The firsts return to action on Saturday, December 5, away to Tongwynlais, kick off at 2:30pm – meet at Sully Clubhouse at 12:30pm.
Last Friday, November 27, a reunion of older players/members was held at the clubhouse and it turned out to be a great success, with 20 “old-timers” enjoying a buffet, catching up on each others’ current circumstances, lots of memories shared, and stories of the past related.
Those present agreed that this social should become a regular occurrence, with efforts to trace and invite as many of past players/members as can be found to the next event, which will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, and thereafter every two months on the last Friday of the month.
The venue for the reunion will rotate between Sully, Barry and Dinas Powys.
Saturday saw a very successful Hypnotist Night held at the club, with many thanks to chairman Richard Gully for all his efforts in putting on the event. A Comedy Night is in the pipeline for the New Year, and details will be released soon.
