Barry Athletic 'B' 4 Master Mariner 1

THIS evening game, played at Pencoedtre, was over within 15 minutes as Athletic came out of the blocks like a tornado.

Goals from Danny Morgan, Isaac Farrag and Spencer Price had the Athletic 3-0 up.

In all fairness to Mariner they regrouped and made a game of it by slowly working their way back into the game. Mariner grabbed a goal in the second half but the youthful Athletic dominated much of the play.

To round off a great evening Ben Graham fired a 25 yard free kick into the top corner leaving the keeper stranded.

Dockers Reunited 2 Barry Athletic 'B' 7

Athletic’s young side were sure to be given a strong test from the experienced Dockers team but were soon dominating the game and making Dockers work hard for everything.

Only 10 minutes in and Spencer Price turned two defenders the wrong way and drove a shot past the 'keeper from the edge of the box.

Shortly after and a mazy run from Ben Graham saw him beat the 'keeper from a tight angle to make it 2-0. Price grabbed another just before half time to put the Athletic in full control of the game.

At the re-start it was Price again that made it 4-0 by completing his hat-trick and fifth of the season in three games.

A rare mistake from Athletic 'keeper, Jack Smith, saw Steve Coxon lob him from 25 yards. Ryan Hales then scored a thunderbolt for the Athletic before captain Kyle Ceesay put the Athletic 6-1 up.

Dockers kept going and managed to bag another with a fine long distance strike giving Smith no chance in goal. Billy Gratton finished things off, showing great composure slotting past the oncoming keeper to finish the game at 7-2.

Dinas Powis Athletic 6 Barry Athletic 'A' 2

After a good start against Cowbride, Barry Athletic went into this game full of confidence. This was soon gone as the young Dinas side ripped them apart scoring five goals without reply in the first half.

Manager David Govier rallied his troops at half-time and Jay Hammill grabbed two consolation goals. Dinas did get another one in the half to finish the match 6-2. Positives have to be taken from the second half display with the team showing great character.
