BARRY Town United delivered a statement of intent for the new season on Saturday, with a stunning 2-0 friendly win at Welsh Premier League outfit Haverfordwest County.
Goals from James Dixon (36') and Michael Hartley (83') steered the Town to their first win against Welsh Premier opposition in over a decade; with Hartley's late header, his first goal for the club since returning from long-term injury.
This Saturday sees Barry's last pre-season match before the Welsh League Division One campaign begins, as Gavin Chesterfield's side travels to Newport Stadium to tackle Llanwern (2.30pm kick-off).
