MILLWOOD 'A' welcomed Barry Central to their green on a sunny but slightly breezy afternoon.

Millwood ‘A’ side set about their business of trying to win the second of the Division 7 fixtures.

Completing the opening five ends, Millwood ‘A’ had the narrowest of margins by just the one shot to lead 21 – 20, but Central set about changing that by taking the lead after 10 ends to a two shot 38 – 40 advantage.

On completion after the 15th end the lead had swung again to Millwood to lead by 63 shots to 55. With every effort Central tried in vain to claw back the deficit, only to finish up losing the game by nine shots at 86 – 77.

Each side had one rink winning by a large margin, but overall there was only the nine shot difference between the two sides, after what turned out to be a pretty close game. Credit to both sides.

As luck has it, Millwood are back down to Barry Central in Wednesday’s Munro Cup game. (Not another drubbing they hope).
