Dinas Powys Wolves 8 Sully Blues 0

FOLLOWING on from the disappointment of last week’s display, Dinas looked to put that behind them.

For the first 30 minutes the home side applied plenty of pressure but struggled uncharacteristically to break the Sully defence down. It took some fine work from Hewitson and Saunders to open the scoring with 10 minutes left in the first half.

With some instructions and guidance at the break the home side came out on fire and three very fast goals in the first five minutes put the game to bed. Booker showed great technique with two powerful strikes. Having the energy of Harewood back in the middle with Doughty allowed the visitors very little time on the ball.

The composure from Williams, O’Brien, Frost, Mallum and Fifield in the second half gave the home team a great platform to work off feeding the wide players with quality ball. Pushing Lewis into middle added some steel. Hewitson was very unlucky not to score an incredible goal striking the bar but thankfully J Pereira was on hand to tuck away.

D Morris was always alert and played a very high line allowing the home side to squeeze very high.

Further goals from Quest, Hewitson and Saunders wrapped the scoring up.
