Barry Albion 0 Tynewydd FC 8

THIS was a repeat fixture from last week’s 8 - 2 cup victory for the Tynny and it was also a repeat result.

Tynny ran away with the game with an empathic 8-0 victory.

Ross Smith started the scoring with a sweetly struck volley from just inside the box to make it 1-0 with Lewis Union quickly doubling the advantage when he curled a free kick into the top corner from the edge of the pitch.

Andrew Colburn grabbed a third when he powered through from the middle of the park and found the back of the net.

Ross Smith completed a first half hat-trick when he scored two quick fire goals just before the break, to give the Tynny a 5-0 lead at half-time.

Smith was at it again soon into the second half when a Lloyd Union found him at the back post where he crisply struck a half volley into the top of the net.

Andrew Colburn then scored the goal of the game after a lovely move down the left hand side involving Gareth Union, Julian Brana and Jammo with numerous one-twos, led to Gareth finding Colburn on the edge of the area who calmly side footed the ball into the net, showing a classier side of his game that the boys hadn't seen to date.

Lewis Union rounded off the scoring when he turned in from close range after a low cross from Brana to make it a full time score of 8-0 and give the Tynny their biggest win of the season since last week.

Man-of-the-Match was a whitewash and went to Andrew Colburn for a dominant all-round central midfielder’s performance providing a platform for everything the Tynny did right on the day.
