SINCE the successes from last season, Rhoose Rovers FC looks like they are on the up.

They have moved up to a higher division, after completing the double of Division Two champions 2013-14 and Dockers Cup winners 2014.

The increase in standard has no doubt been a challenge for the Rovers, alongside the absentee list that rivalled Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United injury list in the opening few months of the season.

However, with improvements on both the injury and absentee list, it looks like the Rovers are challenging at the right end of the table and the good times can get even better if they recapture the form that saw them complete the double last season.

Signings were made in the January transfer window but the most crucial signing this season was the securing of major sponsor, Go Direct.

The club would also like to say massive thanks to John Black (match ball), K R Building Services and the Cambrian (formerly known as the Flying Club) for their continued support over the last few years. The club wouldn’t function without you all.

This Saturday sees the Rovers push towards a second visit at Jenner Park and have an outside chance of challenging for promotion, if injuries are kept to a minimum.

If there are any potential sponsors/players that are interested in helping the development of the club, please get in contact with one of their current players/coaches.

New sponsors can help by sponsoring a match ball or by sponsoring training/match kit.

The next fixture in the Divisional cup is against Cadoxton Athletic FC at Ceri Road, Rhoose. Kick-off is at 2pm.
