ON January 31 it was the first round of the Barry Darts League Cup.
The Billy Ghosts, Cwm Talwg, Tynewydd, Plastics C, Park Weasels and The Poachers all won their respective ties to join the BFC Allsorts and the Dockers on the second round. Gareth Owens from the Tynewydd hit a 140 out shot in his side’s victory.
In the league fixtures on February 6, the tie of the week was between last season’s league champions and runners up.
The Cwm Talwg was home to the Poachers, after the singles, the sides were tied at nine games each.
A doubles point each saw the match go into a final leg decider. Steve Moggeridge hit the winning double in the leg to get the Cwm Talwg an 11-10 victory. During the match Richie Boucher hit a 120 out shot.
The Dockers claimed a 16-5 away win over the Loungers and the Mariners had a similar 16-5 home win over the Plastics.
The BFC Allsorts and Park Weasels both had convincing 18-3 home wins against the Hell Raisers and the Raiders respectively. Tommy Morrison from the Raiders hit a 180 in his match.
