SOUTH Wales Senior League Division Two
Penrhiwfer 1 - 5 Cadoxton Barry FC
Cadoxton Barry dominated the first half but missed plenty of big chances all round - the Penrhiwfer keeper pulling off some great saves including a double from two shots by Ross Weekley and then another from Darren moments later. So, at half time the score remained at 0 - 0.
Cadoxton Barry's account was opened by Weekley when his shot was deflected home. And then Jake Oaten bent a corner straight in.
The game started to look safe, but sloppy marking allowed Penrhiwfer back in when they pulled one back from a corner. A tough five minutes followed as the hosts went in search of an equaliser.
Having weathered the storm a great Luke Walsh interception put Weekley through to bury the ball home off the bar from a one on one situation. And CB got a fourth before, in the closing minutes, a whipped cross from Jake Oaten was nodded into bottom corner by Ross Weekley.
Following this good all round performance CB are without a game next Saturday. However, the squad are looking forward to a trip to Brecon on December 6 when they meet in the National Park for a C W Brutty Cup encounter.
