WE want to thank the voters of Colcot, Crogan and Gibbonsdown for their support in the recent Vale Council elections.
Unfortunately, a 24 per cent share of the vote wasn’t enough and Labour appeared to benefit from a slump in the Conservative and Plaid support.
All but three of the Barry councillors are now Labour so it will be important to monitor their election promises and performance over the next five years.
We will both continue to watch events and the commitments made by those elected, and regularly comment publicly whenever we feel it appropriate.
