As a reply to a letter published in the Barry and District on 2.4.15 by Mr Christopher Short regarding my opinion to the opening of a funfair on Barry Island and its potential long term detrimental impact on our town, only time will tell.
However I do not appreciate a personal attack through the pages of a newspaper suggesting ‘I should lock myself into my studio’.
My personal opinion is offered from the position of the overall inclusive wellbeing of our town.
For Mr Short’s information I have lived in Barry for 40 years and for the past 10 years on Barry Island itself.
This position has offered me the chance to understand and live through the impact of over development in close proximity with the demands of tourism.
May I take this opportunity to thank Mr Short for his letter and wish him love, peace and kindness.
