ON Wednesday, December 17 the "Save Rhoose Library" campaign handed in a
1,323 name petition to the Vale of Glamorgan Council. The people of Rhoose objected to the downgrading of Rhoose library by cutting the hours and replacing the two part time staff with volunteers.
I would like to thank everyone who signed the petition, and all the owners, managers and staff of the shops and businesses in Rhoose who put the petition on display.
The petition is now part of the response to the library proposals and will be considered in the report back to the Vale Council Cabinet in February or March.
