THE Royal British Legion wish to record their thanks to the citizens of Barry who attended the 2013 nationwide observance of a two minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day, at the Barry Remembrance Parade and Service, with wreaths and crosses placed on the Cenotaph paying tribute to all who lost their lives of the two world wars and recent war conflicts.

On a crisp mid autumn morning the attendance was numerous, and believe may have been the largest turn out for a number of years.

We also extend our grateful thanks for your loyal support to the 2013 Poppy Appeal in your donations via the poppy collection boxes. We appreciate the help given by all those volunteers and Forces Cadet Services for the hours of duty undertaken during the appeal.

Without your support The Royal British Legion could not undertake their duty in the welfare to the serving and ex- service community, and their families for over 92 years, and the years to come.

We also express our appreciation to Barry Town Council, for their help in the arrangements that were undertaken.

We will remember them.
