YOUNGSTERS from a Barry Primary school got a taste of India when a local restaurant showed them how meals were made.
Staff at the Barry Gate in Main Street entertained Cadoxton Primary Year 5 pupils studying India’s culture, with an expert demonstration on how to make Naan bread and a look at the special tandoor oven in which it is cooked.
School spokeswoman, Davina Miller said: "The best was yet to come!
"Back in the restaurant the children and teachers were treated like royalty.
"The tables were beautifully set in small groups with a drink at each place.
"Soon to follow was naan bread, chicken korma and chips!"
Year 5 pupil Luca Bates said: "I took one look and I thought 'that looks delicious' - and it was the best food ever!"
