A MAN has been arrested after an incident which caused armed police to be deployed in Barry yesterday (February 14) afternoon.
An incident at Plas Cleddau in Barry was attended by armed police at 12.18pm. A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said the officers had been sent "as a precautionary measure to protect the public."
A 35-year-old local man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and was taken to Cardiff Bay police station yesterday.
No-one was injured during this incident.
