THE following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court:
Cain Gordon Martin Smith, aged 42, of Yale Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to using threatening and abusive behaviour. He was given a six weeks sentence suspended from 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.
David Sion Jones, aged 43, of Daniel Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol (76 mg) which exceeded the prescribed limit. He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. He was given a 12 weeks sentence suspended from 12 months.
Ashley Palmer, aged 25, of Kingsland Crescent, pleaded guilty to assault. He was given a community order. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £85 surcharge.
