A FORMER Barrian now residing in The Netherlands is proudly displaying his support for the Welsh football team ahead of the Euro 2016 finals.
Mark Britton, 37, has bucked the orange trend in his street by giving his house the full Welsh treatment, with flags and banners adorning the green white and red of his home country.
Football fan Mr Britton explained: "I currently reside in Amstelveen, The Netherlands and for years I have been part of a culture where everyone decorates their house orange, in fact the last World Cup and Euros, almost the entire street was orange. Well now it's our turn.
"It's been a very long wait, seeing as I am 37 - my entire life."
Mr Britton said that his neighbours have no problem with his Welsh pride.
"I have very friendly and very understanding neighbours who had no problem in me decorating my house in pride," he said. "Admittedly my house sticks out like a sore thumb but that doesn't bother me one bit."
