The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates Court, sitting at Cardiff.
Sean Anderson, aged 23, of Holton Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and to commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence. He was given a 225 day prison sentence and was ordered to pay an £80 surcharge.
Spencer James Brown, aged 32, of Barry Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to making threats of violence. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.
Jonathan Glyn Evans, aged 41, of Lee Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing two CDs and four golf clubs from a person. He was ordered to pay £70 compensation and £85 costs.
