TEMPORARY traffic lights on one of Barry’s main thoroughfares have this week been causing disruption on major routes into and out of town.
The signals, in place on the A4055 Port Road East, near Wenvoe garden centre, to allow for essential gully cleansing works to be carried out.
A Vale Council spokesman said: “This is likely to be the cause of delays for traffic leaving Barry.
“The works are taking place between 9.30am and 3.30pm to avoid the busy rush hour periods. The work has been planned to take place during half term when traffic levels are usually lower to minimise disruption.”
