ARMED police descended on a Barry pub following reports that a gun had been seen at the venue on Sunday, March 1.
Officers were called to O’Brien’s, on Holton Road, in Barry town centre, after a member of public reported seeing a man with, what appeared to be, a gun in the pub around 7.45pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “Armed police were called to the scene and two men were arrested by police for possession of a firearm without a certificate.”
Two men, aged 35 and 39 and both from Barry, have been bailed until May, 27 pending further enquiries.
No injuries were reported during or after the incident.
