CHILDREN and adults alike went Christmas craft crazy at Porthkerry park, creating eco-friendly decorations and more.

Around 50 people joined the rangers at the Forest Lodge on Saturday, December 6 for an afternoon of Christmas crafts using only recycled materials or things collected from within the park.

The finished products included woven twig star decorations, clay reindeer models, and Christmas wish wood cookies.

Park Ranger Mel Stewart said: “The children were so imaginative with what they created and their enthusiasm was so contagious that by the end of the afternoon nearly all the adults had created something to take home too.

"It was such a lovely afternoon and really brought the spirit of Christmas alive.”
