DINAS Powys 'Survivor' Charlotte Hobrough has dramatically revealed she is quitting the glittering world of fame for property development.

The former policewoman, who was catapulted into the limelight when she won ITV's reality show, spoke to Now magazine about her tainted image.

She was dubbed 'Charlotte the Harlot' after her affair with fellow contestant Adrian Bauckham during the 12 weeks on the South China Sea island of Pilau Tiga.

But despite the deluge of media speculation, Charlotte refused to discuss the matter in detail and her and husband Mark vowed to work at their marriage whilst she pursued her TV career.

Now living in Sully, Charlotte admitted she cannot bear to be labelled 'the Harlot' forever. She told the magazine: "Every time someone says that it's like a punch in the stomach.

"No one really says it to my face, but when they do I can't speak for fear of breaking into tears.

"I present this tough exterior.

It upsets me so much because some of the things said are so outrageous.

It's not me at all. Adrian and I were close, but saying that we had sex up a tree was just ridiculous."

Charlotte says her dreams of being a TV presenter did not turn out as she planned.

In the interview she adds: "I did some presenting on Survivor 2 for ITV2 and The Big Breakfast.

"But it wasn't what I thought it would be."

Charlotte is now embarking on a new career.

Practising on her own home first, she plans to join forces with husband Mark and renovate houses in Europe this summer.

She added: "I feel vulnerable in this country because of all the false allegations."
