A BARRY man attacked two police officers, one in Penarth and one in Cardiff.

On August 10 last year, Brandon Thompson, 19, first attacked a police officer at Herbert Terrace, Penarth. He then attacked another police officer at Cardiff Bay Police Station.

Thompson, of Barry’s Bassett Street, pleaded guilty to the charges on January 10.

At Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 6, he was given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

Part of the reason for the custodial sentence was for what the court deemed as Thompson’s “flagrant disregard for court orders and his previous record”.

The sentence was suspended due to Thompson securing employment and stable housing.
