VOLUNTEERS from Barry Action for Nature have set up bat roost boxes in Victoria Park in the Cadoxton area of Barry.
They shrugged off the cold wet weather to erect 15 well constructed bat roost boxes.
Barry Action for Nature chairman, Rob Curtis, said: "A really big thank you to all the people who volunteered with Barry Action for Nature to put up bat roost boxes at Victoria Park, Cadoxton.
"We would also like to thank the Vale of Glamorgan Nature Partnership for supplying the boxes.
"Bats are important and are known as an 'indicator' species which can warn us about changes in the wider ecosystem.
"We all need to give nature a place to call home."
