SHOP windows along Holton road were smashed in a sustained attack last weekend.
Windows of Clinton Cards, Abbey National, Card Warehouse, Nationwide and the Barry Eye Centre were smashed with what is thought to have been a fire extinguisher, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Assistant manager of Clinton Cards, Ceri Wood said: "Every window other than one door was smashed."
And Card Warehouse's manager, Sarah Howell, said: "It's the third time in 18 months the windows have been smashed.
"This time it looks like it was someone with a fire extinguisher just smashing windows after a night out.
"It costs £1,000 for every window that is broken. That's a lot of money."
Sarah said that anti social behaviour is common on Holton road on a Saturday evening.
"We have even had someone vomit through the letter box one Saturday night, and a member of staff had to clean that up," she added.
One member of staff at Adams clothes store said: "I think we were lucky because we had shutters."
The incidents were recorded on CCTV . A police spokesperson said the movements of those involved were followed by cameras until police officers were able to make an arrest.
Two men were arrested, one of them has been charged with criminal damage and has been released on police bail.
