SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to an arson attack on a motorbike in Woodlands Road, Barry which occurred at around 2am on Sunday, April 6.
Police believe that the incident was a deliberate attempt to cause damage to the motorbike and involved someone setting alight a tarpaulin which was covering the bike.
Sergeant Steve Trigg of Barry Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This was a deliberate attempt, which resulted in both the motorcycle and the front of the house being severely damaged.
"If it wasn't for the vigilance of a passer by in the early hours of the morning, we may be investigating an even more serious incident.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact Sgt Trigg at Barry Police Station on 01446 731623.
