A WOMAN was attacked and robbed during the early hours of Sunday. The woman was walking from Evelyn Street to Digby Street and when she crossed Holton Road to reach George Street, she became aware of two men walking up Holton Road towards her. They then followed her onto George Street.
The victim then turned to see who was behind her and one of the men punched her in the face and body several times before stealing her bag and making off.
This man is described as white, wearing a hooded top with the hood worn up and possibly jogging bottoms.
Sometime later, the bag was found between Robert Street and Wilfred Street in Barry and was handed into Barry Police Station.
South Wales Police officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed two men acting suspiciously in these locations or anyone that believes they may have information in relation to this crime, to contact them on 101 quoting ref: 1800129538 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
