THE following cases have been heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court, sitting in Cardiff.

Keiron Miller, aged 19, of Dorothy Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. He was given a restraining order and ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 court costs.

Kristian Sims, aged 39, of Rhodfa Sweldon, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation, £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Jordan Chichester, aged 20, of Clos Llawhaden, Barry, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Simon Annan, aged 40, of Scott Close, St Athan, admitted to breaching the terms of a community order. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 court costs.

Samuel Camilleri, aged 39, of North Walk, Barry, admitted to breaching the terms of a community order. He was fined £65 and ordered to pay £65 court costs.

Bethany Hughes-Blinston, aged 27, of Harbour Walk, Barry, pleaded guilty to fraud. She was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work. She was also ordered to pay £4,894 compensation, £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Tracy Vandervolk, aged 52, of Westward Rise, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without valid insurance. She was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work. She was also fined £325 and was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Stephen Jones, aged 60, of Main Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to theft for stealing shoes from Debenhams. He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Andrew Brown, aged 54, of The Crescent, Barry, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. He was fined £250, given five points on his driving licence and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

James Rowe, aged 34, of Bassett Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage. He was given a curfew and a restraining order, and was ordered to pay £306 compensation, £85 court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
