THE following cases have been heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Cardiff.

Kelly Bailey, aged 36, of Laugharne Court, Gibbonsdown, was found guilty of theft while trespassing for stealing a TV set, trainers, a watch, a Kindle and two bottles of perfume. She also pleaded guilty to two further counts of theft and one count of fraud whilst under a community order. She was sentenced to 30 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to pay £415.99 in compensation, £300 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Nathan Dancey, 32, of Bassett Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft for stealing alcohol, meat and biscuits whilst serving a suspended sentence. He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison and was ordered to pay £884 in compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Vincent Cutajar, aged 56, of Ponatalun Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was given a community order and was disqualified from driving for two years. He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Royston Casanova, aged 70, of Richard Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment for delivering abusive letters whilst serving a restraining order. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison and was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Matthew Kent, aged 24, of Devon Avenue, Barry, pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He was given six points on his driving licence, fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £15.

Irfan Khan, aged 30, of Cawley Place, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was given a restraining order and ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work, as well as to pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Shae Mialkowski, aged 22, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to threatening criminal damage, criminal damage, assault by beating and making malicious communications whilst under a suspended sentence. He was given a restraining order and sentenced to 24 weeks in prison, as well as being ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Michaela Olding, aged 43, of Elizabeth Avenue, Barry, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was fined £120 and given 10 points on her driving licence, as well as being ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
