COMMUNITY groups in the Gibbonsdown area with an interest in health and wellbeing are being urged to speak up.
The GVS team, in Skomer Road, IS asking representatives from community groups to discuss how to improve the health and wellbeing of the area, which will also give them a chance to exchange information on local services.
GVS is an independent charity and has many volunteers and community organisations active across the county.
It aims to improve the quality of life of people and communities by supporting volunteers, volunteering opportunities and voluntary groups.
The team recently welcomed five new members at its summer board meeting.
Barry Athletic Tennis Club, Mulligan Community CIC, Oshi’s World, Promo-Cymru and Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) gained membership.
GVS operational manager, Clive Curtis said: "We are pleased to see our membership grow from strength to strength. These new members will be able to take advantage of a range of services we provide for members including funding information, development services and access to a range of practical services.”
To take part in the network meeting, you can contact community innovator, Lani Tucker on lani@gvs.wales or call 01446 741706.
