The following cases were heard at Cardiff Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Stephen James Owen, aged 60, of Severn Avenue, Barry, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. He was fined £85 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Stefan Bjegovic, aged 34, of Phyllis Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to sending a grossly offensive or indecent, obscene or menacing electronic communication during the period of a discharge order. A community order and a restraining order were made. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Joshua David Ellis, aged 21, of Lewis Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to drug driving. He was fined £220 and disqualified from driving for 18 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Jordan Ashley Pearce, aged 22, of Port Road East, Barry, pleaded guilty to damaging a glass panel. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

James Lee Moulder, aged 27, of Winston Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to attending an address and speaking to someone which he was prohibited from doing so by a restraining order. He was fined £71 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Wayne Gino Burnell. aged 32, of Dyfan Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of driving whilst disqualified, two counts of driving without insurance and one count of possessing cannabis. He was sent to prison for four months. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

Gareth Ross Hudson, aged 35, of Vere Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing a cigarette lighter. He was sentenced to seven days in prison and ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

Claire Michelle Robertson, aged 36, of Thompson Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault. A community order was made requiring 60 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £80 compensation.

Michael Edward Griffiths, aged 35, of Barry Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to one count of stealing alcohol and food items, one count of stealing alcohol and flowers and one count of failing to surrender to custody. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
