THE following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates Court, sitting at Cardiff.
Ashley James Hawkins, aged 32, of Vere Street, Barry pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of buprenorphine, 12 Diazepam tablets and a quantity of cannabis and to committing an offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence. He was given a 12 week prison sentence and was ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.
Robert Jack Bisacre, aged 26, of Cross Street, Barry pleaded guilty to making racially aggravated threats at Marianos Pizzeria, Barry. He was fined £110 and was ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
Danielle Beacham, 38, of Holmes Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. She was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
Alan John Meredith, 32, of Laleston Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to stealing a quantity of food, drink and toiletries and failing to comply with supervision requirements following release from prison. He was sentenced to a total of six weeks in prison and ordered to pay £30 compensation and an £80 surcharge.
