AN ADVICE session for anyone over 50 and affected by cancer will be held at the Age Connects Senior Health Shop on Tuesday, May 10.

Age Connects Cardiff and Vale run a scheme for people with cancer or for carers looking after a loved one to provide one-to-one support. The group can other help by accompanying you to hospital appointments including chemotherapy or radiotherapy, listening, help with form filling, assistance in what practical and financial support there is and more.

The session will take place from 10am until noon and no appointment is needed.

On the same day there will be a Dementia Awareness Session running from 10am until noon.

This session is being held to encourage people who are worried about Dementia, to confront and help with worries and to chat to a member of Crossroads in the Vale Team on support groups in the local area, financial help and free counselling available to families.

Crossroads Care in Vale can help alleviate and relieve the strain of continuous caring and provide them with some quality time.
