ON MONDAY, April 18, Cadoxton (Barry) WI held their Annual Meeting.
The president welcomed Jane Excel who is the new advisor and liaison officer and she officiated over the evenings proceedings.
Two members retired and two new members were appointed. The secretary gave her annual report detailing all of the events that Cadoxton had participated in during the last year. The president outlined her hopes for the forthcoming year and thanked the committee and members for their loyal support.
There were several invites from other WI's as well as the ongoing programme. The raffles were won by Gail Summerell and Audrey Stansfield.
On Saturday, April 23, at Sully Bowls Club the team from Cadoxton (Barry) WI won the GFWI Bowls competition. This is the second time the team have won and Cadoxton (Barry) WI are delighted.
The Trophy will be presented at the Council Meeting in Port Talbot on May 10.
Meetings are held every third Monday at 7pm at Victoria Park Community Centre.
