BARRY-BASED Sound of Music star and TV presenter Connie Fisher is gearing up to join thousands of fun runners for Barry’s first ever Rainbow Run.
The event, in aid of Sully-based T? Hafan family hospice, is a 5km colour run, or walk, where along the route participants get showered with different colours of powder paint.
Ms Fisher said: “Get rainbowed! Join me and thousands of people on May 7 on Barry Island.
“Start in a bright white t-shirt, 5k later cross the finish line splattered in colour! Have fun and help raise funds for the children’s hospice in Wales.”
Last year’s Rainbow Runs attracted thousands of runners and supporters across Wales.
T? Hafan marketing and events officer, Mair Kinsey said: “By taking part in our Rainbow Run events, you are helping families make the most of the precious time they have left together, as your valued sponsorship allows us to continue offering care and support across Wales.”
