BARRY’s Cwm Talwg pub will reopen its doors this week after a £370,000 refurbishment.

The pub, which was first opened by Cardiff brewery SA Brain in 1986, will reopen on Wednesday, December 9 with a new menu, new kitchen and new open plan dining area.

The Cwm Talwg, on Severn Avenue, also has a new manager in Jeremy Webb.

“The changes being made to the pub are substantial and will provide a great place to eat out,” he said. “It will quickly become a place to bring everyone together at the heart of the local community.

“We look forward to our guests enjoying our great range of drinks and extended menu and to welcoming them back to enjoy time and time again.”

Chris Ferriday, Head of Property at SA Brain, said: “We are pushing the boundaries of interior design with every new opening and this is no exception.

“The transformation of this pub is astonishing. With a new outdoor space and the soft furnishings inside, the new Cwm Talwg boasts a warm and welcoming environment making every guest feel right at home.”

The Cwm Talwg will be open from 11am on Wednesday, December 9 and can be contacted on 01446 732602 or cwmtalwg@sabrain.com.
