VALE of Glamorgan Council led Barry Communities First will run a free CISRS Operative Training Scheme for those seeking a career in scaffolding.
On Wednesday, November 18, a one-day course will be held at the Barry Community Enterprise Centre, Skomer Road, from 9am until 4pm.
This course will teach you about electrical safety, tube fittings, basic scaffolding terminology, servicing of equipment and much more.
Upon completion of the day they will then fund your application to receive the relevant CISRS Card, there may also be work trials available for the right candidate.
To be eligible you must be a job seeker aged 16 - 24 living in a Barry Communities First area which includes parts of Buttrills, Cadoc, Court, Castleland and Gibbonsdown.
