FRIENDS and Neighbours September meeting was held at Beryl Road Pioneer Hall in Barry with well over 45 members.
They received an excellent informative talk from Scam Awareness giving out relevant information and how not to be taken in and what to do in event of a problem occurring.
Many questions were asked and informative leaflets were taken by members. Following this Wales Air Ambulance gave a slide show on the charity and what it does in the local area.
A collection was taken up for the charity with the funds going directly to them. The members then enjoyed tea/coffee, cakes and biscuits and chatted together.
A vote of thanks was given to all who made the afternoon so enjoyable.
Everyone said how much they had enjoyed the Mystery Trip to Bowood House and West Side Story at Barry Memorial Hall. They are looking forward to the October meeting which includes a fish and chip lunch and also lunch at Cubanas.
