AT the end of term, three students from Barry Comprehensive School’s Woodworking Club presented country park ranger Mel Stewart with a stool made from logs the boys collected from the park in April.
The three students had split the logs into smaller sections and manufactured the stool components using only hand tools and traditional techniques. The students were accompanied by their teacher Mr Hawkins and technician Mr Bartlett who runs the woodworking club.
The school would like to thank Mel Stewart and all the staff at Porthkerry for supporting the project.
