A SELECTED group of 12 Year 7 students represented Barry Comprehensive school last week on a Mathematics Mentoring visit to Dow Corning.

The students carried out a number of exciting mathematical activities looking at addition, subtraction, multiplication, perimeter and fractions and how they apply in the real world.

The boys were extremely lucky to have the opportunity to go outside in the nature area and use the maths skills they have been taught in hands on experience with the wildlife.

The group thoroughly enjoyed the visit and their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and attitude was complimented most highly by all the staff who worked with them from Dow Corning.

Barry Comprehensive would like to thank everyone at Dow Corning for a really interesting day.
