IN March, Bryn Hafren's Year 7 Creative Writing Club worked on entries for the Young Writers Mini Monologues competition.
The girls were challenged to adopt a persona and write from one person's point of view in just 100 words. Pupils were very excited about this challenge and set about choosing their personas.
Some chose real-life celebrities, for example, Andy Murray waiting to go on to centre court for the Wimbledon final. Others chose fictional characters from their favourite novels or films, of course, Elsa from Disney's 'Frozen' made an appearance.
Mrs Sails, Creative Writing Club facilitator, said of the competition, "The girls were highly motivated as this notion really proved to be an outlet for their creativity."
All entries from Bryn Hafren were chosen to be published in the most recent Young Writers book, a copy of which now proudly sits in the school's Learning Resource Centre. The school are very proud of their achievements.
